Due to Covid-19 I am finishing my blog posts and magazine from home. All my files were saved off our computers at school so I could not make final revisions but I know what I would of corrected.  I was overall very happy with my cover page. I think the photo I chose represented the team and a typical basketball player very well. The corrections I would of made would be making the text "Featured Articles with Jaxon Greer & Brian Halloran" and "Game Schedule Inside" earlier to read. I would probably stretch the letters to be farther. I also would of added a small circle at the bottom right of the page with a small picture in it to fit the house format the other issues of this magazine had. I think the pictures and text I provided in my two-page article was good content. I think I would of liked to change my text in smaller columns and maybe even add pictures of make the already existent pictures smaller. I would of revised my Table of Contents b...

How did you incorporate technology in the process? I definitely used a lot of technology in the process of creating my magazine. I used an iPhone XS camera for all of my shoots and even edited the pictures on an application called VSCO. I put my magazine together using Publisher and Indesign. 

How did your production skills develop throughout the process? When I first started my AICE Media Magazine I didn't have many production skills but I feel as if I have gained a significant amount throughout the school year. 1.   Camera Angles Learning what angle to take a photo at and knowing how it is effective is probably the most useful skill I learned. Angles can express the significance of a photo. I used a lot of low angles in my magazine to express dominance of the tall and large basketball stars. The low angle was meant to add the effect of the "strong and powerful". 2. Managing Models When I first started this project I was a little nervous about scheduling appointments and meeting for photoshoots. Now I am comfortable with communicating with my models. It's easier when you come with a solid plans and goals for the shoot.

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? In my audience engagement research I learned that interviews are a good way to connect with your audience, which I did. Interviews are a  good way to connect because it's a more personal way to receive information. My magazines distribution plan in a real media text includes many things. I learned from my distribution research that social media is an essential part of getting media attention, especially from my targeted social group. That would probably be the biggest part of my real media distribution plan because it would be the most effective. Besides that I would adopt a website because my target audience probably uses their phones and computers more than a physical copy of a magazine. Moving on from the technology aspect of the distribution, I think it would be a really good idea to try to sell these magazines at the actual basketball games. I think this would reach the parent...

1. How does your project use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? My magazine uses conventions through the pictures displayed inside. The cover photo is a great example. The shot is a low angle which is significant for the theme, basketball. It makes the player seem very tall and intimidating which is typical traits on a basketball player. Another 2 examples could be found in the two page article. There is a wide-shot of the court and a two-shot of two of the players. Both of these shots are important because they give you a feel for the setting of where the team spends most of their time and even shows you a couple of players. I used a white background for my two-page article to make the words pop out to my readers. I had my models dress in their practice wear so when the readers viewed these pictures they would feel like they were getting a behind the scenes looks!
