How did you incorporate technology in the process? I definitely used a lot of technology in the process of creating my magazine. I used an iPhone XS camera for all of my shoots and even edited the pictures on an application called VSCO. I put my magazine together using Publisher and Indesign. 

How did your production skills develop throughout the process? When I first started my AICE Media Magazine I didn't have many production skills but I feel as if I have gained a significant amount throughout the school year. 1.   Camera Angles Learning what angle to take a photo at and knowing how it is effective is probably the most useful skill I learned. Angles can express the significance of a photo. I used a lot of low angles in my magazine to express dominance of the tall and large basketball stars. The low angle was meant to add the effect of the "strong and powerful". 2. Managing Models When I first started this project I was a little nervous about scheduling appointments and meeting for photoshoots. Now I am comfortable with communicating with my models. It's easier when you come with a solid plans and goals for the shoot.

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? In my audience engagement research I learned that interviews are a good way to connect with your audience, which I did. Interviews are a  good way to connect because it's a more personal way to receive information. My magazines distribution plan in a real media text includes many things. I learned from my distribution research that social media is an essential part of getting media attention, especially from my targeted social group. That would probably be the biggest part of my real media distribution plan because it would be the most effective. Besides that I would adopt a website because my target audience probably uses their phones and computers more than a physical copy of a magazine. Moving on from the technology aspect of the distribution, I think it would be a really good idea to try to sell these magazines at the actual basketball games. I think this would reach the parent...

1. How does your project use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? My magazine uses conventions through the pictures displayed inside. The cover photo is a great example. The shot is a low angle which is significant for the theme, basketball. It makes the player seem very tall and intimidating which is typical traits on a basketball player. Another 2 examples could be found in the two page article. There is a wide-shot of the court and a two-shot of two of the players. Both of these shots are important because they give you a feel for the setting of where the team spends most of their time and even shows you a couple of players. I used a white background for my two-page article to make the words pop out to my readers. I had my models dress in their practice wear so when the readers viewed these pictures they would feel like they were getting a behind the scenes looks! I made a few changes to my cover page since my first submission. My group changed all of our fonts and we added a black line behind the main focus of the article. This created a staple look for our magazine and now there is more evidence that all of our issues are from the same magazine besides the title. I made a couple of changes to my two page article as well. Everyone in my group changed the fonts and added page numbers. I decided to keep the same pictures because I didn't get any that I liked better and I think all the pictures fit in nicely with the text.  I am very happy with how my 3rd quarter submission of my table of contents turned out. Everyone in my group changed the page color to black to make the pictures pop. I think this looks especially nice with mine because the dark bushes meeting the page created a faded effect. Again, we changed our fonts to all match and added page numbers!
